The "Murder" of Vince McMahon

I'm coming late to this story, because I really don't care about WWE and "professional wrestling", but... were his ratings really so bad that he thought this was a good idea?
A limousine burst into flames outside the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township late Monday, presumably killing long-time World Wrestling Entertainment Chairman Vince McMahon.

Or so WWE would like its fans to believe.

WWE fans around the country were treated to an explosive ending to a sold-out Monday Night Raw, live at the Northeastern Pennsylvania arena for a special three-hour broadcast. McMahon’s apparent demise, however, was just another twist in the male soap opera’s story line.
One can only hope that part of this comes true... such as McMahon going down in flames, or being, well, fired.

  1. Wether or not its a puplicity stunt or not, you have to have respect for what vince did for wrestling as not only entertainment but as a buisness. The NWA,WCW, ECW ALL CAME AND WENT YET WWF/WWE remained the front runner, mainly down to vince and the ability to run the buissness. if it is a stunt then its done its job and if its not then profesional wrsetling should be in mourning as shane cant carry the torch the way vince has done

  5. Aaron you should be ashamed of yourself for talking like that, wether or not it is a stunt is not the issue, what is, is the way that you clearly come out and dissrespect him.

  6. OK, let's be serious now.
The WWE is an Entertainment source.
And yes, McMahon's "explosive death" is nothing more than a publicity stunt, otherwise you would have heard it on ACTUAL NEWS programs by now, wouldn't you think?

And the shoddy memorials to Vince McMahaon shown on the programs only adds the word "shameless" to this latest twist. It demeans actual memorials to wrestlers who actually passed away, such as Eddie Guerrero. The memorial for him was real and heartfelt. The McMahon memorial is, well, let's just say it's another chapter in this current storyline.

For anyone to actually believe his death is real, well, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you for real cheap.

The WWE's "Soap Opera storylines" are just that, storylines to add some flavor to the shows, otherwise it would be just one plain fight after another.

Let's keep things in perspective. It's a TV show. Always was, always will be.

Stay tuned...McMahon will return a brand new man, with a new appreciation for life, and yes, with a kind word and heart for evryone!

  7. No offense people, but I think you should keep your 'hurible' spelling and grammar to yourselves.

Normally I'm not a jerk like this, but that is just ridiculous.

Anyway, to stay on topic. Yeah. Nice...angle...? Not really.

  8. Whether or not you like it Vince McMahon did what he set out to do, although he did what most would consider out of sorts and respect he made a job and gave millions a great opportunity to do what they loved. He will always be remembered for this and his personality to do what he thought was best for what he created in his industry. Vince McMahon will be missed by millions and our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God Bless You All and remember He Will Carry You through this time, though it seems hard.

  9. I am a huge WWE fan. This is just another of the many pasted and many future stunts to come. It was awesome. If everyone would stop to think if it was real...don't you find it strange that the camera man kept filming that noone ran out to help. Not that you could do much with a burning limo. But come on people. If it were real. it would be in the newspaper it would be on the news. For example, Eddie Guerro it was in most if no all news papers. Even when Raw and Smackdowns shows opened it showed his face with 1967-2005. Where is Vince's and what about the poor limo driver noone cares about him right????///

  11. IF A BILLIONARE THE CALIBUR OF VINCE MCMAHON WOULD OF DIED IN A CARE EXPLOSION IT WOULD OF BEEN ON THE NEWS, LIKE CNN, OR NEWS SHOWS LIKE THAT OR PLASTERED ALL OVER THE PAPERS.
HE IS A BRILLIANT BUSINESS MAN, AND I GUESS HE WANTED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM ALL THE NONSENSE FOR A WHILE AND WHO CAN BLAME HIM, HES NOT A YOUNG MAN ANYMORE( STILL IN BETTER CONDITION THAN ME).
SO LET THE STORY RUN OUT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, ALSO IF IT WAS REAL,THEN HOW COME THAT NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE LIMO DRIVER???????????????

  12. PLEASE AND WATCHING ALL HE WRESTLERS MAKE COMMENTS. ITS SOOOOOO FAKE. GIMME A BREAK. I THINK IT IS AWESOME. HE IS SO SMART. HE IS A SMART BUSINESS MAN.IT PISSES ME OFF THAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING HE DID THIS BECAUSE WWE WAS GOING UNDER. WWE WILL NEVER DIE. EVEN IF HE DIDNT DO THIS STUNT THE SHOWS RATINGS WOULD BE HIGH AS HELL. WHEN VINCE RETURNS IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST NIGHT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT HAS SEEN TO DATE.

  13. Newspapers in PA said that the 'explosion' took place the Saturday night before and permits were applied and received in order to have the pyrotechnics. In other words Vince Ain't Dead!

  14. Has no one noticed that the "firemen" don't have any identification on their uniforms at all?? Every fireman I have ever seen has the city/town ID all over them. Nothing on these "guys." And don't fire departments use foam when putting out hazardous accelerant fires such as cars, airplanes, etc. And only ONE cameraman?? Just happened to be there, I guess.

  15. LMAO This is the funiest shit ever. And to clear things up there were 2 cameras i noticed :)

  16. Vince McMahon dead, yea right. Death is no joking matter, sometimes entertainment goes tooooooooooooooooo far. Where do we draw the line? Parents please explain to your kids whats real and whats not.

  17. This is down right silly!! Anyone who thinks that this fake fire is real is nuts. I just say the statements being made by the "Federal Investigator"...please, Federal Fake.
And I saw the video of the car being taken to the federal impound. I f the fire was so bad that a human body could not be found, why is the right read tire still aired up. This entire is a slap in the face of every sports fan in the world.

  18. I can't believe that people are buying this. We are getting closer and closer to the society protrayed in the running man short story and movie.

  19. Come on people think about it The Saprano's endded on Sunday night without much hoopla and it made fans mad until you realize the genious behind it....life goes on. If this is a stunt, I have watche wrestling for my whole life...it is, it was brilliant because he wanted to give fans the big bang they wanted on Sunday night.

  20. What is sad about this stunt, is that children like my 10 year old son thinks this really happend. It is so hard to tell him that it was most likely all made up. Millions of children watch these shows and to do that to childrens minds is just sick.

    ReplyDelete
  21. where is stone cold when you need him?

    ReplyDelete
  22. My boy is 9 and he really enjoys this junk. I try to tell him that the explosion was fake but he doesn't believe me. How could WWE go this far and fake a death. Makes no sense at all especially since children are extremely vulnerable and believe this crap. I guess WWE is just carrying on the wrestling tradition of being fake.

    ReplyDelete
  23. if you let your nine or ten year old watch this mess then you are sick!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. OK WELL I THINK THE PARENTS WHO ARE POSTING COMMENTS ON HERE NEED TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT ALL THE OTHER STUFF THEIR CHILDREN WATCH AS WELL. LIKE SPIDERMAN THERE IS DEATH. IN MOST CARTOONS TOO. SO THE FACT THAT YOU GUYS ARE MAKING IT SEEM LIKE OMG IT WENT TO FAR.I DIDNT SEE YOU GUYS POST ANYTHING WHEN THE STUNT WAS KANE PUT MVP ON FIRE. DID YOU TELL YOUR KIDS THEN THAT IT IS NOT GOOD TO SET PEOPLE ON FIRE. SO YES TEACH THEM THAT IT WAS FAKE BUT DONT HATE VINCE FOR KNOWING WHAT MAKES MONEY.

  25. . . . I'm guessing that Aaron will never again post anything about "professional wrestling."

I'm also guessing that he didn't know that past "angles" have involved Satanism, necrophilia, rape, and kidnapping . . . so this is actually pretty tame stuff . . .
