Hating That Comments Thing

A visitor notes, quite appropriately, "Oh yeah, I hate your comments thing now."

Don't we all. It's part of the reinvented blogger, along with a block on the execution of the javascript which powered the previous, unattractive but easy-to-use third party comments function.

Beyond having to click through two pages to enter a comment, the comments function is probably not so bad if (a) you have a blogger account, (b) you are logged into it, and (c) you want to post under your default name. Oh yes - and (d) assuming it is working. It's been down quite a bit since it came online. Otherwise, at least in my humble opinion, it blows giant chunks.

  1. Hey, I ended up on your blog randomly. I read the comment thing and was like hey why not post. Ok, you're right it's not too bad if you have a blogger account. It's pretty easy, if you're having problems -- try haloscan they have a free thing. (I stopped using it after blogger put in comments, the blogger comments seem to integrate a bit better.)

  2. We're back to having sporadic problems with the comments function, as well as nonfunctional URL's. If anybody has a decent suggestion, I would love to hear it.
