Time From "No Big Deal" to "It's Torture"....

Eight seconds.

Compare and contrast the Christopher Hitchens water boarding experience.

  1. Oh my God...my heart is thumping, my hands are sweating...and I'm sitting on my couch at my laptop with the sun coming in my window and nary a water board in sight.

I knew what it is and I knew it was torture, but seeing it like that makes me feel physically ill. Like that Mancow dude said...you think it's just some water in the face. Uh, no. It's more than that.

Who the hell thought this up in the first place?!?!

  3. Kind of you to think of me, but I believe variants go back at least as far as the Spanish Inquistion.

A better question would be, "Who thought to add it to the US system of interrogation? I'm guessing a neocon and I'm guessing it was borrowed from an ally's playbook . . .

    CWD
